I began drawing at the age of 3 in Bosnia. Thanks to the support of the kindergarten teachers, I had my first public art exhibition at the age of 4. Drawing and painting became my main hobby throughout childhood and later, adolescent years in Nuremberg, Germany. It kept me occupied and out of trouble, my mother would say! Soon it became a career in design even before I graduated as an Interior Designer at University of Technology Sydney (UTS) in 2003. By then, my work had been published in various German magazines and exhibited at the Sydney College of Art in 1999. In my early 20s, following a stint in the exhibition and furniture design industry, I decided that the next step was a career in Storyboard, Concept Art and Matte Painting.
During my 6 years as a storyboard and concept artist from 2005 to date, I became involved in some very successful and interesting projects. I was invited to join Disney’s 2D team in 2002 and was part of BBC, Melbourne Cycling and University of Newcastle projects, and also worked as the Art Director on a UNSW project. Furthermore, working on various TV commercials for respected brands such as Subaru, Skoda, Toyota, Optus, Samsung, Cadbury and White Wings have been some of the highlights of my career so far.
It has been an extremely challenging yet exciting and fulfilling journey so far; across 5 different countries, over 30 odd years and I am right back where I started – I am loving every minute of it.
When I am not loving work, I am indulging in my other passions – photography, films, automobiles, motorbikes, travel and my girl’s cooking!
I am a bi-lingual (English and Japanese) graphic designer and website developer from Australia who has worked for a range of non-profits and organisations. I have a Bachelor of International Studies majoring in Japanese and Politics. I help do media for events such as TEDx and political organisations such as the Sydney Alliance. I like to use my skills in media and programming to solve problems and help people.
